The grapes were harvested at the end of January, and pressedgently with only the free run cut used. A cool ferment wasused to ensure aromatic characters were retained. Post fermentation the wine was sulfured and racked off yeast lees, with a light fining of skim milk. This Verdelho was then heat and cold stabilized, filtered and bottled under screw cap to retain its youthful freshness.

Vintage Conditions

The 2016 vintage is regarded as a classic Hunter Valley
vintage, with ideal warm growing conditions leading up to
vintage, the vines were healthy and had plenty of foliage.
A series of storms in January delivered a large amount of
rainfall but the fruit held up really well. Good vineyard
management and winemaking has resulted in some of the
best wines we’ve made, with the white wines in particular
having great intensity of flavours.

Pale yellow with light green hues.


Lifted ripe fruit aromas of green melon and white nectarine with hints of figs and spice.


Abundant fruit flavours of fresh pear and paw paw, with a hint of spice and a mineral acidity, giving this wine structure and a crisp, dry finish.
