This wine has been produced from Pinot Noir sourced from the cool climate area of Orange. It has lifted aromas of fresh cherry and hints of dark spice. The palate is juicy and bright with fresh red fruits and crunchy acidity.
The 2019 vintage in Orange began with a record cold winter and below average rainfall. The season remained dry, but with enough surface moisture to ensure strong growth of both canopy and fruit. Summer saw hot and dry conditions but luckily, Orange escaped the extreme hot weather that plagued other viticultural regions. Harvest began in late February and this signaled the start of a frantic vintage as all varieties, both white and red, seemed to ripen one all at once. The yields were lower and the quality is outstanding.
