The 2018 vintage is regarded as a great vintage in the Hunter Valley. This wine has been produced from Shiraz grapes in late February from our Audrey Wilkinson vineyard. Deep red in colour with purple hues, one is hit with intense aromas of red cherries and plums along with hints of cedary oak upon opening. The palate is plush and balanced with the flavours of cherries, raspberries and hints of cloves along with the soft tannins provided from the oak that add to the structure and complexity of this Shiraz.
The 2018 vintage will be regarded as a great vintage in the Hunter Valley. These consistently warm, dry days resulted in the driest year on record and one of the earliest harvests in history and some of the most concentrated fruit flavours we’ve seen.
Enjoy now or cellar for 6-8 years.
